Testimony from a truck bed liner owner:

I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert when it comes to truck’s, I have been around trucks my whole life. I have owned Chevrolet trucks, Ford truck’s,  and Dodge truck’s.  I will let you in on a little secret, I personally liked them all. Most “truck guy’s” that I know are very loyal to whatever their favorite brand is, the truth of the matter is they all are very comfortable, they all have the bells and whistles, and they all look great.  My point is that for what ever reason “truck owners” are faithful, devoted, and dependable. Well this carries over to many more facets than just their trucks, take bed liners for instance, it seems no matter what the experience is they stick with the same bed liner that they had in their last truck. A few years back one of my buddies had a “spray on” bed liner installed in his new Ford F250, he was happy with it for about a year and a half. That was when the “spray on” bed liner started to deteriorate, it faded, it chalked and really looked awful. So he took it back to the installer, they told him that those issues were not covered under warranty. Unphased by this my buddy paid to have it reinstalled, I could not believe it. There was no way that I would have paid double to have a bed liner put in my truck with a 18 month shelf life. Guess what happened after a year went by? It started to fade, just like the last time.

During this fascicle, I had purchased a new Dodge 4X4 with the Cummings diesel (I love this truck by the way).

There was NO way that I was going to put a “spray on” bed liner in my truck, so I started doing some research.

I was hoping to find a better way to protect my truck than the bed liners I have had previously. “Drop in” bed liners shift around and destroy the paint, “spray on’s” are permanent (LOL) and require grinding off the finish to get the compound to adhere. That ruled out most of the bedliners available to me in my area.

I continued my pursuit on the internet and came across this new “hybrid” type bed liner, I was very intrigued.

I am ALWAYS very skeptical of anything that is “new” to the market. The more research I did the more comfortable I became with the idea. I found out that the have actually been available for over five years now, they started the company as a more local bed liner company out of Kewaskum, Wisconsin and is quickly becoming a International Company. The company is called Dual Liner, the only thing that they produce is bed liners, they know them inside and out, and that keeps them focused on what is important to truck owners. They are quickly becoming a household name among “truck owners.”

After many hours of sitting at my computer, I decided to give it a try. I ordered it on a Monday directly from Dual Liner, they shipped it directly to my house, I received it Thursday morning. I was very excited to open the box and once I did, I could not believe my eyes. The “Hybrid” bed liner was very impressive, it was definitely much thicker and tougher than I thought. I watched the DVD that came in the box, it showed step by step how to install the five piece component bed liner. Next I took the pieces out of the box and started the installation process. I first put the load guard in, then the sidewalls, the “snapped in place. Then I took the hardware off the tailgate, put the tailgate piece on, then reinserted the hardware back in. Each panel fit right tight to the contour of the trucks sheet metal. Once the side panels were in it was time for the “Zero Skid” mat, it tucked into a channel that was built along the bottom of the sidewalls, to hold the mat in place. Installation was “easy as pie.” I tend to keep my possessions in excellent condition, and I also noticed that it was just as simple to take out if I want to wash or wax my trucks box, you can’t do that with the other bed liners I have owned in the past.

The Dual Liner not only looked awesome it offered more protection than any other bed liner that I have ever owned.

By using tough exact fit polyethylene panels for the sidewalls this eliminated any potential for dents or scratches from occurring to the sidewalls. These panel are different from a “drop in” bed liner because they made from molds that are specific for each make and model of truck, this ensures a tight fit and eliminates any risk of chaffing. The Zero Skid mat is not your normal rubber mat either, Dual Liner uses high grade rubber that is gummy, so your cargo stays put. The Zero Skid Mat is also very thick, 3/8ths of an inch, and the bottom side is ribbed. This keeps the mat from laying directly on the truck bed and allows water to drain out of the factory designated drain holes, preventing and eliminating mold or mildew build up. The clingy properties of the mat provide excellent dent protection by absorbing strikes from even the most extreme of cargo.

Make sure that you do your research before you by a bed liner that will only disappoint you. I am sure that if you do an decent amount of research you will come to the same conclusion.  I have tried the rest of the other types of bed liners and now I own the best. Dual Liner was the smartest accessory I have ever bought, and one by one I am converting my “truck buddies” over to the “Only Bed Liner That Works.”
